Hi. I'm Lindsay. I've always been a fan of information. Like, I love to find it, hoard it, learn it, and share it. Over the past 5 years I've come in contact with some of the best, brightest, and coolest chicks in WNY, all working towards bringing incredible services to new parents. But here's what I've found during those years: the only way I could locate these professionals was through a network of people. That's great, when you know the "right" people. It stinks when you don't. When you're searching for a doula or a prenatal class in the southtowns...or when you want a VBAC, but don't even know where to begin in your search for a doctor who supports them. When you're pregnant and want a natural birth, but don't even know what that looks like to you. When you're a new mom struggling with a perinatal mood disorder, but never even heard of those words..and yet know that you want a support group to talk about your new role.
It's in these moments when you feel pretty lost and alone. It's in these moments when you don't need Google, but a welcome committee to see you through this new adventure. That's what Welcome Mama is about. It's about you and guiding you through this maze of motherhood to a place a clarity. A place where you belong. A place where different is good. A place where you feel welcome. Businesses included in this directory will reflect this ideology, while emphasizing all things holistic, alternative, and natural.
Hi. I'm Lindsay. Daughter, sister, wife, mother and collector of useless (and useful) information.
